I will be exhibiting at The Melbourne Festival Art and Architecture Trail on 14th and 15th September. if you’ve never been do come along this is a really delightful South Derbyshire village. If you have been before you’ll know why this is such a great weekend and I’d be pleased to meet you, I’ll be in 45 Potter Street. https://www.melbournefestival.co.uk/home

Every year I get a quick scout around a few of the other exhibitors’ locations, ideas on how best to show work are often picked up this way (though some doubt as to whether I do learn is expressed by my family). Seeing work in someone’s home gives a genuine insight as to what those pieces that hook one’s attention might look like back at home.

And there’s food and music too. Honestly the day will not disappoint. Come and say hi, chat about how lovely the location is, personally I think where I am this year is a real gem, I’d love to see you.

Located close to Calke Abbey https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/visit/peak-district-derbyshire/calke-abbey and The Ferrers Centre https://ferrerscentre.co.uk/ there are good reasons why you could make a good excuse for a weekend away whilst wanting to come and look at the incredible line up of artist’s works - all on display in people’s homes and gardens.

Later on, in October I will be showing in Penrith, Cumbria with Matt Cox and his team at Potfest-in-the-Pens. This is all about ceramics and quite literally we are all herded and corralled in the beast’s stalls of Penrith Market. Just off the M6 at junction 40 with a great on site cafe for you to rest a while in as well as all of the beautiful Lake District beside you to go off and see it’s a weekend you’ll enjoy.

October 18,19 & 20
